Has anyone ever gone to one and actually played?

Me and Sergio got invited to go play paintball on Thursday after work with some of the guys and their wives. Its gonna be couples against couples. Ive never played before but Im totally up for it. This should be super fun. Sergio keeps asking me if Im sure Im gonna want to play because he says Im gonna be in pain once its all over and done with. I think Im just feeling brave. lol Just wanted to ask if anyone else has ever played.

I used to play with my fire department back in Maryland. You need to wear cammies (old pair if you have them), either a full face mask or goggles, sturdy boots and a cover. Chrisey I will be honest with you , when Sergio says you will be in pain he is right. When I played I would come home with welts all over my body and not little welts mind you. It's a fun game but if you don't like pain it might not be for you but you'll get used to getting shot after a couple games. Also if it's going to be hot out take plenty of water or gatorade to drink.

Very fun to play, but OUCH afterwards!!!!!! I got HUGE welts and bruises. Definitely wear face mask/goggles!!! Loved it tho!

I wore several layers which was hot as heck but it helped ease the blow. Not by much though bc I was bleeding in several places...it does hurt! I think some of the guys had their air pressure on like 20 million though...it's supposed to be set at a certain level...something like that, I have no idea what I'm talking about, ha. But I would wear gloves. I didnt but it's a good idea.

Gosh! Chrisey, from reading everyone's comments, paintball sounds very painful. Good luck if you do decide to go for it! I'm such a chicken when it comes to pain I don't think I could do it.

WOW you are brave girl! Sorry I don't have any advice because I've never done it and don't think I could do it! I hate pain! Let me know how it goes, hope you have tons of fun, and hope you and Sergio WIN!

I used to play Pro Scenerio ball with a Maryland Team.

Few tips.

1. Wear comfortable boots/clothes. Go for full camouflage utilities if you have them.

2. Carry a soft cloth in your pocket. depending on the paintball mask you will be wearing it can fog up on you. the cloth is handy to wipe off your lens. Make sure your mask fits properly. snug and gives you a good field of view. Try to breath more out of your nose then your mouth. this limits the amount of hot air blown up into your lenses.

3. Adrenaline is your friend. Paintballs will leave welts, they can hurt, but your going to have some much adrenaline pumping that in some situations you wont even know you where hit. I used to take head shots and not know it till I felt the paint on my face.

4. Stick together, work as a team. you try to rambo (go alone) your going to end up getting eliminated.

5. If you get hit Yell loudly that your "HIT!" and raise your gun and hands over your head.

6. any time you get the chance check your hopper(Paintballs are kept in it). Make sure its full, after every firefight reload it if you can. It never fails when your in it hot, you will run out if you don't check.

7. Between matches use a squeegee on your barrel of your gun. it keeps the amount of broken paintball downs and keeps your accuracy up. If you dont have one some one will on the field you can borrow.

8. Hydration is your friend. Keep lots of water handy.

9. Have fun! dont be afraid to take some risks and get hit. Thats all part of the game.

10. Remember its just a game, but Cover and Concealment are your best friends. use them as often as you can. Make sure of your shots, if you can see some one but you dont have a shot dont give away your position till you have a shot. When in doubt Double tap.
